Jenn and Riley’s stunning Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding is one I won’t forget, with the sweetest, most intimate moments and breathtaking mountain views at a favorite wedding venue of mine!
Gosh there are just so many details I’m obsessed with this wedding. Jenn and Riley first met in 2019 through some mutual friends and started dating a few months later. After that, the rest is history. Both are very focused on spending time in the outdoors with their dog, Henry. If they aren’t outdoors they’re spending time with friends and family. One thing that Jenn was really excited for was the Beverage Burros from Rocky Mountain Beverage Burros. These Beverage Burros were a hit at their wedding! Most of Jenn’s family lives in Denmark so it was cool to see all of them come to the States to celebrate Jenn and Riley’s marriage. Really the whole wedding was about them coming together and spending time with family.
Spruce Mountain Ranch is a beautiful Colorado ranch wedding venue located between Denver and Colorado Springs. Truly it’s a personal favorite venue of mine! It features two separate properties just a mile apart, Upper Ranch being geared more towards larger weddings, and Lower Ranch a better option for more intimate and small weddings. You don’t even know there’s a wedding happening at the other location!
This venue celebrates the beauty of Colorado and is a perfect option for anyone wanting to be in the mountains without a long trip. It spans over 450 acres and sits in a truly peaceful location, surrounded by the foothills. Spruce Mountain Ranch prides themselves on making sure your vision turns into a reality and that your wedding is everything you’ve dreamed of.
Between the stunning views here and the incredible staff, I will always rave about this wonderful wedding venue!
Lower Ranch, where Jenn and Riley’s wedding was celebrated, includes five unique venues, with both indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from. Each location offers its own charm, allowing you to truly customize your wedding day experience.
Albert’s Lodge is a large, rustic yet elegant space with the kind of vibe you’d want from a Colorado wedding venue. Not only does it feature a welcoming front porch for your guests to enjoy, but it also boasts a floor-to-ceiling fireplace and a built-in bar. Additionally, guests can hang out in a private room complete with a pool table, TV, and wet bar. As a bonus, the lodge’s doors open to a beautiful courtyard lit up with market lights, perfect for enjoying those crisp Colorado nights.
This smaller rustic space is ideal if you want to embrace both the indoors and outdoors on your special day. It’s surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and features both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Moreover, you’ll find a charming stream and dewpond nearby, along with lawn games and activities to entertain your guests throughout the evening.
Situated between Albert’s Lodge and the Colorado Room, The Courtyard is an enchanting outdoor area strung with market lights overhead. Framed by natural rock walls and a rustic log pergola-covered entrance, it creates a dreamy setting for dancing under the stars. Alternatively, you can use this space for a grand entrance or to host an intimate cocktail hour.
Grace’s Chapel is a romantic and serene ceremony spot tucked into the venue’s lush gardens. Weddings here take place under the shade of a beautiful old Willow tree, offering a setting that feels like it’s straight out of the South. Furthermore, you’ll enjoy views of Spruce Mountain, a gentle creek, and vibrant seasonal flowers, making it a truly picturesque backdrop for exchanging vows.
Finally, the Mountainside is a breathtaking ceremony location with panoramic views of the ranch and Ogddn Pond. It’s the perfect choice for couples who want to fully immerse themselves in Colorado’s natural beauty while saying “I do.”
Here’s what’s included when you book a wedding at Lower Ranch:
In short, Lower Ranch is ideal for couples who want a mix of rustic elegance and unforgettable mountain scenery!
While Jenn and Riley’s wedding took place at Lower Ranch, it’s worth mentioning that Spruce Mountain Ranch also offers an equally stunning option at Upper Ranch. This side of the property features three charming venues, each offering a slightly more modern take on the classic mountain-ranch aesthetic while still embracing that warm Colorado vibe.
The Ponderosa Room is a grand, open space with soaring beamed ceilings, a dramatic stone fireplace, and massive windows that flood the room with natural light. In addition, it opens to a spacious outdoor terrace — perfect for cocktail hour or sunset ceremonies with views of Spruce Mountain. Not to mention, this versatile space can comfortably host larger weddings while maintaining a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
A little more intimate than Ponderosa, the Spruce Room is a rustic-elegant space often used for smaller receptions, rehearsal dinners, or as a getting ready area. It features the same beautiful wood accents, a cozy stone fireplace, and direct access to tranquil outdoor gathering areas, allowing your guests to truly enjoy the serene mountain surroundings.
In addition to these options, Upper Ranch also features the Aspen Room — a bright, airy space perfect for smaller gatherings, rehearsal dinners, or as an additional getting ready suite. With vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, and modern-rustic details, it’s an inviting spot for pre-ceremony champagne toasts, private first looks, or even a relaxed brunch the next morning.
Upper Ranch also includes several picturesque outdoor ceremony locations with unobstructed views of Spruce Mountain and peaceful water features. One of the most iconic spots here is The Bridge, a charming covered bridge nestled among towering trees. It’s a popular choice for first looks, portraits, and quiet moments alone as newlyweds.
Here’s what’s included when you book a wedding at Upper Ranch:
Whether you’re envisioning a grand, lively celebration in the Ponderosa Room or a more intimate affair in the Spruce or Aspen Room, Upper Ranch offers a versatile and picturesque setting to bring your wedding dreams to life.
