This backyard Colorado Springs wedding was such an intimate occasion that truly celebrated Evan & Bethany in the best way! I was honored that I got to capture a friend’s biggest moments and give them photos they can treasure forever.
It’s a huge honor when friends ask me to capture their wedding, as it was for this wedding! Bets and Evan are so down-to-earth and wanted their day to be intimate and celebrated with their closest friends and family. And a backyard wedding was just perfect for the two of them!
The day was absolutely stunning with clear skies and perfect weather and the whole day was filled with so much emotion. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd after they said “I do!” And it was just so obvious how much their friends and family supported them and truly wanted to celebrate them.
Something I loved about their wedding was how many of the vendors were friends of theirs! The planner, bartenders, florist, officiant, and the couple who owned the property are just to name a few. And if you were to ask the bride and groom one of the things they were most excited for (other than the obvious) was the donut bar! Amy’s Donuts in Colorado Springs provided a really stunning display for the wedding and they were delicious.
Backyard weddings are a great way to create a more intimate setting for your day, as well as being a much more budget-friendly option. It also gives you a lot more freedom with choosing a date, which you wouldn’t have with a venue. You can also keep the guest list much smaller, with just your closest family and friends. It’s a way to ensure your wedding is centered around the two of you & what’s important to you!
Here are some things to consider if you’d like to do a backyard wedding:
These are just a few things to consider that you may not have to think about if you’re choosing a wedding at a venue. But hosting a backyard wedding can still be simple and easy, and save your budget!
If you don’t have access to a private property for your wedding, here is one of my favorite Colorado Springs wedding venues: Younger Ranch!
As mentioned previously, most of the vendors were family and friends! But here are a few of their other vendors.
