There are some other wonderful options to choose from for venue spaces at the Steamboat Ski Area & Resortl Here’s what else you can consider!

Vista Overlook: This is a more intimate ceremony location, also with the beautiful mountain views, including the Flat Top Mountains in the distance.
Grand Pavilion: If you prefer covered seating, the Grand Pavilion provides that along with manicured landscaping and views of stunning wildflowers.
Four Points Lodge: This mountain lodge feels like an escape and is an ideal reception space for a larger guest count.
Timber & Torch: Featuring both indoor and outdoor space, this reception area is located at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area.
Champagne Powder Room: This is the largest reception space in the Thunderhead Lodge, at the top of the Steamboat Gondola, that features a gorgeous, expansive deck.
Hazie’s Restaurant: Located in Thunderhead Lodge, it is a fine dining restaurant that can be transformed into an intimate reception space.
Korbel Grand Ballroom: This is a large indoor space with a grand ballroom feel, perfect for large events.
Emerald Mountain Tent: This beautiful tent opens over Steamboat Springs and allows you to enjoy more of the Colorado outdoors.
Mountain View Foyer: This venue space features an outdoor terrace with views of the Steamboat Ski Area and is located in the Steamboat Grand Hotel.

Choosing Thunderhead Lawn for your Wedding

Here’s what you need to know about planning a wedding at Thunderhead Lawn.

Max capacity: 300 guests

Site Fee: $3,000-4,500 depending on number of guests

Venue Season: June through end of September

Ceremony Times: Between 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and 1:00-4:00 pm.

This includes:

White garden ceremony chairs
Set up and breakdown of ceremony chairs
Gondola transportation
Host to assist with check-in at the base of gondola & host to assist directing guests to the ceremony site
